I started playing Diablo III as a release; a break from cosplay. I originally did not plan on tackling any of the pixelated designs within this Blizzard Entertainment realm. However, after large sums of time, I can no longer stand strong against the desire to craft a Diablo III character.
When I started Diablo I created/selected a Monk-class Toon. I had watched a few started videos as well as read up on to the other available classes.

I was quick to get comfortable with the class and as I started to encounter my first NPC/Boss. Her moth-like presence pulled at my desire to bring another villain to life. The idea of created large moths to mount on my shoulders/back – I am all too excited to begin this project!
I hope you look forward to a moth filled next three months. The goal is create a costume that is bigger and better than the last. Also, this costume will be the first cosplay that will need to break-down into a suitcase for travel. We have big plans for 2019 and are excited to start sharing them soon!!

These are just a handful of the hundreds of images that will be used to draw inspiration/data from to create my-take on Maghda. You can see that there are two book images, above. The top-left is her traditional in-game reference. The bottom-left is one of her original-concept art designs. There are aspects of each that I would like to make sure I incorporate.
Example: I would like my design to have multiple skirts. The in-game ref. is traditionally depicted with a single-skirt. Also, concept-art has so much more detail!
I look forward to merging these two designs together, with my own style.

You can never have too much research under your finger tips!! The above images are from ‘Diablo III: Book of Tyrael’.
Tyrael, formerly the Archangel of Justice, now the Aspect of Wisdom, is a mortal angel —a maverick to the High Heavens, and a stalwart defender of Sanctuary, who opened the gateway to Harrogath and helped destroyed Mount Arreat.
However, if you are looking for a good Diablo 3 Art book, I’d recommend ‘Diablo III: Book of Cain’. It has the same images (for the most part), more insight into the events of the Diablo 3 game-itself. As well as, events that led up to it and some the things that happen in the last two game plays.
The extra lore and images really help light the fire needed to pick up the speed with my Maghda build. With roughly 3 months left until convention, there is no time to waste.
